1-10V Analogue Dimming
The 1-10V Ballast provides a 10V signal from its own internal power supply and regulates the attached fluorescent lamp depending on how much of the 10 volts returns through the ballast control loop circuitry. For varying the lamp level between maximum and minimum output, the 10V is varied by a ‘sinking’ device such as a 1-10V potentiometer, to provide smooth control across the dimming range. Lamps are switched On or Off via the mains supply
Digital (DSI)
DSI control uses Manchester Code for the regulation of Tridonic digital ballasts using digital broadcast technology. The use of digital control technology enables the precise control of fluorescent lamps to extremely low light output levels, whilst maintaining optimum conditions for flicker free lamp operation and long lamp life.

Methods of Dimming Control
Compact Light Sensor clips to lamp and plugs into Tridonic Eco ballast for individual dimming control according to available daylight. Manual setting of light level required.
Combined PIR, IR & dimming control of Tridonic Eco ballast and is factory-fitted to louvre or luminaire bezel of selected luminaires.
Used in conjunction with hand-held infra-red programmer and controller.
Wall-mounted momentary action switches for control of Eco ballasts - Push to make, push and hold to dim. (by others)
Dali Load Interfaces
DALI stands for digital addressable lighting interface and is an ‘open standard’ communications |

protocol for load interfaces such as ballasts and inverters, which are permanently live and are signalled via digital communications for control and (or emergency testing purposes using mains rated cable 1,5mm2). These load interfaces have a unique short address and non-volatile memory for remembering scenes, groups, fade rates etc. This is true distributed intelligence. DALI ballasts and inverters can also be queried for feedback.
A unique feature of LUXONIC’S DALI offer is the DIMMAND© ballast, which is a non-dimming ballast which has the capability of being software upgradeable to dimming at a future date. No re-wiring of the luminaires is required to go from ‘switching only’ to luminaires that can be dimmed.Software upgradeable to dimming
